Frequently Asked Questions

We’re happy to answer any questions not addressed on this page via phone or email.

Specific information like our private investigation license number is available upon request.

WHAT SEPARATES YOU FROM OTHER PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS AND PEOPLE-FINDING SERVICES?

We’re different (and better) for a few reasons:

1. We're less expensive.

2. We charge a flat rate, so we won't come back to you and say “for this much more we can do the following.”

3. We're licensed and have professional obligations to serve our clientele.

4. We won't scam you.

*If you require us to physically investigate someone's former address (assuming they're in our state where we're licensed), we must charge extra fees. However, this has never occurred and would most likely be unnecessary*

DO YOU HAVE A REFUND POLICY?

In this business, no one can be 100% successful. We always do our best, but some obstacles (name changes, relocating out the country, etc.) are insurmountable.

Regardless, our motivation is to be successful at your search. While we do not offer a refund policy, we will let you know during your consultation whether or not we think we can help you.

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND IF THE PERSON I AM SEARCHING FOR IS DECEASED?

We can not offer refunds if we find that someone is deceased.

In one sense, we'll have found that person– just not alive.

We will provide some direct information to show you that we're not just saying that to make our jobs easier.

WHAT SORT OF INFORMATION DO YOU NEED IN ORDER TO FIND A PERSON?

  • The most helpful pieces of information are:

  • Full Name

  • Age

  • Date of Birth

  • Names of relatives, even if you know or suspect the relatives are deceased

  • Any former address(es) that they lived at any time in the past

Even if you have no information other than the person's name, approximate age, and a city they lived in at one time, we can make the effort.

HOW QUICKLY CAN YOU FIND SOMEONE?

It varies depending on the case’s difficulty and how busy we are, but we can usually find someone within two weeks.

In the event that all we can find are relatives and associates of your person, it usually works faster if you give us permission to reach out.

WOULD YOU EVER REJECT A CASE?

We reject cases in a few situations:

1. Insufficient Information

While we'll take it on if you insist, if you're dying to contact Mary Smith in Manhattan, we'll likely advise you that it's probably a waste of money and suggest that you NOT proceed.

2. Celebrity Stalking

If you ask us to find Brad Pitt, Madonna, or someone else who's famous, because you have a “celebrity addiction” that's not going to happen. That would be a violation of our license requirements and our agreements with our database providers. If that's what you want, you'd be better off walking down Hollywood Boulevard.

Or maybe getting some therapy.

3. Malicious Intent

If we think you're using us to find someone to whom you want to do any kind of harm, we'll reject you in a New York Second. That's not what we're here for, and besides not wanting the liability, we won't engage in what we consider immoral behavior.

But other than that, if you want to find someone to re-establish contact, we'd be happy to assist in that effort.

In other words, “Bring it On.”
